CATT-Acoustic is an 32-bit Windows MDI application for Windows XP/Vista/7 with seven modules : prediction (with TUCT used only to handle the geometry load TUCT), directivity, surface properties, source addition (not used/needed with TUCT), post-processing (not used/needed with TUCT), sequence (batch) processing (not used/needed with TUCT) and plot-file viewing/WAV-file playing.

CATT-Acoustic also has a customized text editor communicating with the main application and a range of external tools for file format conversions and similar.

Building the model is aided by the debugging warnings that allow geometry errors to be identified and resolved. Modelling parameters are well documented. The results are believable and rational (unlike the previous software I used, Raynoise, which seemed little more than a random number generator, e.g. incrementally increasing the number of rays or their lifetime did not cause the result to converge on a sensible value).
